About Our Pre-School

Uplyme Pre-School is historically known as a fantastic pre-school, proof being that it was established over 50 years go and is still a thriving part of the community.  Pre-school’s overall management is undertaken by an annually elected committee, made up mainly of parents, who act together as the policy makers and the employers of all the staff.  At Uplyme Pre-school we promote learning through play and free-flow indoor/ outdoor play. We have a fantastic staff team who have many years of experience in Early Years Education. At our last inspection, Ofsted commented on how well the staff worked together  and how this reflected on the children’s behaviour and learning. Children learn at their own pace in a kind, safe environment where they can thrive and be happy. Safeguarding is at the heart of our settings policies, through robust procedures , we make sure our families and staff are protected and safe.

How we provide Development & Learning

Children start to learn about the world around them from the moment they are born. The care and education offered by our setting helps children to continue to do this by providing all of the children with interesting activities that are appropriate for their age and stage of development.
